Draft pending business and legal review. This page is written from what Trikuta has confirmed to date. The items below are still required from the business and have deliberately been left blank rather than assumed — please supply them and have the final text reviewed by your legal adviser before this page goes live.
- The actual cancellation charge scale — percentage retained at each notice period (this is the single most important missing item)
- Whether a booking can be transferred to another date or another traveller, and any fee for doing so
- Confirmed refund processing window (14 working days is currently stated as a placeholder)
- Whether the flying component is refundable when a dham is missed for weather, and on what basis
- Named contact for cancellation and grievance requests
This policy sets out what happens if a booking is cancelled — by you, or by us. The specific charges applying to your departure are stated in your dated package sheet; where the two differ, the package sheet governs.
If you cancel
Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your written request by email or WhatsApp. Because helicopter seats, hotel blocks and darshan arrangements are committed in advance, cancellation charges apply on a sliding scale set out in your package sheet, increasing as the departure date approaches. Charge scale to be confirmed
Amounts already paid to third parties on your behalf and which are non-recoverable — including charter deposits and non-refundable hotel bookings — cannot be refunded regardless of notice period.
Where a traveller is refused boarding for an incorrect weight or identity declaration, or does not present for a scheduled departure, no refund is due for the unused portion.
If weather prevents flying
Weather cancellations are outside anyone’s control. Our first response is always to rework the sequence and complete as much of the yatra as conditions allow.
- Where a dham cannot be flown at all and no alternative is possible, the unused, recoverable flying component for that leg is refunded.
- Ground services already delivered — hotels, meals, transfers — are not refundable.
- Additional costs caused by a weather hold, such as extra nights or transfers, are payable by you.
We recommend travel insurance covering trip interruption and weather disruption for exactly this reason, and we will say so plainly before you book.
If we cancel
If we cancel a confirmed departure for reasons within our control, you may choose an alternative date subject to availability, or a full refund of amounts paid to us for that booking.
How refunds are made
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 working days of the refund being agreed. Processing window to be confirmed Bank processing times may add to this. Transaction charges levied by payment providers are not refundable.
Raising a request
Send cancellation and refund requests to us in writing, quoting your booking reference and departure date. We will acknowledge and confirm the applicable charge before processing.
